Explosion at Cargill causes fire; no injuries

? An explosion at a Cargill facility in Wichita has sparked a fire and prompted the closing of several blocks around the plant.

No one was injured in the explosion and fire, which was reported about 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Wichita fire marshal Ed Bricknell said no secondary explosions were expected. However, the fire continues to smolder because damage to the building has prevented firefighters from getting to the source.

Workers were unloading barley into the elevator at the time of the explosion.
