President appoints two to leadership positions
Two longtime Baker University employees have been named to leadership roles.
Baker President Pat Long recently announced that Rand Ziegler had been appointed vice president and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Long also announced that Peggy Harris had been appointed interim dean of the School of Education.
Ziegler, a past chairman of the department of psychology who has worked at Baker since 1981, has been serving as interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences for the past two years. He has held other leadership roles including associate academic dean and registrar, and director of Assessment and Institutional Research.
Harris, a professor and chairwoman of the department of education, was appointed to lead the education department for the 2007-2008 school year, replacing Bill Neuenswander, who is retiring. She has worked at Baker since 1984 and won the national Esther Edwards Graduate Scholarship Award in 1995.
