Body of Kansas man found on Ala. roadside

? A body found on rocks under the Interstate 10 bridge over Mobile Bay has been identified as a suburban Kansas City man who had worked as a plumber on the Mississippi coast.

Micah Settles, 21, of Lenexa, was found dead Wednesday on a rock seawall on the Mobile Causeway road near the I-10 overpass.

Investigators said the cause of death is blunt force trauma. Spanish Fort police chief David Edgar said Settle’s last known address was in Long Beach, Miss.

Edgar said they’re still treating the case as a possible homicide.

The Press-Register reported Friday that Settles had booked a Dec. 24 flight home. His boss drove him to the Gulfport-Biloxi airport on Dec. 24. Police are trying to determine how he got to Mobile.

He had moved Feb. 1 to New Orleans to look for work, then moved to Mississippi, according to his mother, Shannon Hurley.
