Wichita ? A 3-year-old boy who was struck by a pickup truck in the drive-through lane of a fast-food restaurant has died.

Family friends told KFDI radio that the boy was a twin who pulled away from his grandfather as they were walking out of the McDonald’s restaurant Thursday. The grandmother and the other twin had already walked out the door, and the driver of the pickup stopped for them.

The truck had started moving again when the second twin ran out in front of it, trying to catch up with his brother.

He was hit by the pickup and died later at a hospital. His name has not been released.
