Law enforcement report

¢ Someone shot to death a female Labrador retriever over the weekend in rural Douglas County. The sheriff’s office is investigating the slaying of the 8-year-old black dog named Jasmine. The dog’s owners found the dead animal north of their residence in the 700 section of East 1600 Road. Anyone with information is asked to call 843-TIPS.

¢ Sheriff’s officers are investigating mail theft and tampering incidents that occurred Jan. 30-31 along the 700 section of North 1851 Diagonal Road and North 1750 Road. Mail was removed from five mailboxes, opened and then tossed on the ground, according to a report.
