Change in the State Board of Education meeting

Because of the possibility for treacherous weather, the Kansas State Board of Education has cancelled its plans to have its December meeting in Olathe. Currently there are plans for 2 scenarios:

1) If the ice storm does not occur and the weather is cooperating, the State Board of Education will meet in Topeka on Tuesday, Dec. 11, beginning at 1:30 p.m. It will also meet on Wednesday, Dec. 12 beginning at 9 a.m.

2) If there is an ice storm or significant snow, the second agenda is for a short conference call meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 9 a.m.

An announcement of the cancellation will be sent to television and radio stations on Dec. 11, by 6:30 a.m., if the Tuesday meeting has been cancelled. In that event, the Inclement Weather agenda will be instituted for Wednesday.
