Olathe ? An infant who was found alive in an Olathe apartment where his 3-week-old twin and mother were found dead has been released from the hospital.

Police said the surviving twin was released to a family member. The cause of death of the mother, 36-year-old Virginia Wanjiru Njoroge, is still pending.

Njoroge and her children were found in their Olathe apartment Nov. 16.

Authorities believe Njoroge had been dead for several days when emergency crews found her body. The surviving baby and his twin sister, who were both malnourished, were found under a bed. The girl died at a hospital that evening.

Investigators don’t suspect foul play.
