Leavenworth County men charged in robbery

Three Leavenworth County men have been charged in connection with a robbery Wednesday in the 1100 block of Ohio Street.

Jacob I. Rowls and Raheem K. Armstead, both of Leavenworth, and Marquis B. Holmes, Lansing, each face one count of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and obstructing legal process or official duty.

At least three people were inside a residence about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday when the robbery occurred. A male victim was battered, but refused medical treatment.

Officers recovered some of the victims’ property, including a wallet and laptop computer.

A preliminary hearing is set for 2 p.m. Thursday in Douglas County District Court.

Holmes and Armstead are being held in Douglas County Jail on $60,000 bond, while Rowls is being held on $40,000 bond.
