The body of a Dodge City woman who disappeared almost two weeks ago has been found near the wreckage of her pickup truck.

Finney County Sheriff Kevin Bascue said family members found the body of Sharon Lynn Clemons on Wednesday afternoon near the site where her wrecked pickup truck turned up in rural Finney County the same day she vanished.

Her body is set for a forensic examination in Wichita to determine the cause of death. Authorities said the circumstances surrounding her death were still unclear.

Clemons, 46, was last seen April 15, and authorities had been searching for her ever since.
