Farmers have a few more months to sign up for the agency’s Direct and Counter-cyclical Program, or DCP.

The deadline, previously June 1, has been moved to Aug. 3. Jonathan Alley, the agency’s executive director, attributed the extension to the performance of the Farm Service Agency’s Web-based computer system.
