Osage City ? A 47-year-old Osage City woman faces 12 counts of felony theft related to an investigation of $34,000 reported missing from Resource Center for Independent Living there.

According to the Osage County Sheriff’s office, Mary Fern Holloway, a former employee at the center, was arrested Friday. Investigators allege the thefts occurred between May 24 and November 2005. Sheriff’s officers, with the help of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, began looking into the case in April 2006.

Holloway has been released from jail after posting $25,000 bond.
