UMKC authorities investigating hazing
Kansas City, Mo. ? A coed professional fraternity at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is under investigation after allegations of hazing.
University police are investigating Kappa Psi, a pharmaceutical fraternity, after several pledges filed complaints. They allege the fraternity made them wear see-through clothing in public, spend hours in the cold and endure other public embarrassment during a six-week period.
“I didn’t understand how this makes me a better brother,” said Nicole Skinner, one of the pledges.
The university is trying to determine whether the fraternity violated the student code of conduct.
