Topeka ? Gov. Kathleen Sebelius reappointed Lawrence Mayor Mike Amyx to the Kansas Board of Barbering on Thursday. The board licenses and monitors barbers.

In addition to reappointing Amyx, Sebelius appointed Penelop Neill, of Topeka, to the board and reappointed James Holt, of Kansas City.

Amyx, owner of Amyx Barber Shop, 842 1/2 Mass., will serve a three-year term. His shop has been in the family since 1942, and Amyx has been a licensed barber since 1975.
