Longtime director retires from post
Topeka ? Friday was the last day on the job for Joy Moser, director of public affairs since 1980 for the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department.
Moser has been spokeswoman for the department, which includes the Kansas National Guard, Kansas Emergency Management, Kansas Homeland Security and the Civil Air Patrol.
“It has been wonderful to work with the media over the last 26 years,” Moser said. “It will be hard to leave and difficult not to continue this professional relationship, but it is time for me to go at a slower pace.”
Until a new director is hired, the acting director will be Jane Welch.
