HARRISONVILLE, MO. — A woman whose grandfather was murdered after she told a group of people he kept a large amount of money in a floor safe was sentenced to life in prison.
Stacy M. Holmquest, 33, was convicted in November of felony murder as well as burglary and robbery in the January 2005 killing of David Zeller.
Zeller, 76, was the retired pastor of Grace Christian Tabernacle, a Pentecostal church in Harrisonville.
Judge Joseph Dandurand on Friday also sentenced Holmquest to 15 years each on counts of robbery and burglary. The sentences are to run concurrently.
