Topeka ? State Park No. 24 is now a reality.

The 76-acre property that was part of the former Menninger Clinic, which moved to Houston in 2003, was donated to the state by a group of developers.

The property has trails, fishing, wildlife and runs along the Kansas River in northwest Topeka.

The state plans to upgrade and expand the trails, renovate an existing pond, and possibly build a boat ramp. An official name for the park has not been selected yet.
