Law enforcement report

¢ Police arrested a 25-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man Wednesday for allegedly hitting a Lawrence woman, 25, before threatening her with a knife. The man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and domestic battery, and for outstanding warrants.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ The Kappa Alpha Theta sorority reported that someone stole $4,300 worth of computer equipment belonging to two 20-year-old Lawrence women between Dec. 2 and Dec. 3.

The equipment was in the study area of the sorority.

Injury accidents

¢ A Lawrence woman suffered a broken leg in a two-vehicle wreck at 8:45 p.m. Thursday on eastbound Interstate 70 near the Lecompton interchange. According to the Kansas Turnpike Authority, Colleen Skaggs, 31, was injured after she lost control of a 2003 Honda CRV, collided with a truck and struck a barrier wall. She was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

¢ A 30-year-old Tonganoxie woman suffered injuries Thursday evening at 25th and Louisiana streets when she got out of a moving pickup truck during an argument with her boyfriend, police said.

The wreck happened about 8:15 p.m. The woman was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with foot injuries. Sgt. Susan Hadl said it wasn’t clear whether the vehicle ran over her foot or she injured it when she struck the ground.
