Wichita ? A man who investigators said possessed the largest stash of child pornography ever discovered in Wichita was sentenced Tuesday to 19 years and seven months in federal prison.

Steven C. Perrine already was on probation from a prior conviction for sexual exploitation of a minor when he was arrested in December 2005. He was convicted in June of one count each of distributing, receiving and possessing child pornography.

“He had seven computer hard drives containing thousands of images of child pornography,” U.S. Atty. Eric Melgren said.

Investigators said they found more than 16,000 sexually explicit pictures and videos of minors on Perrine’s two computers.

He was arrested after a Pennsylvania man using a computer chat service in Pennsylvania reported that someone with the user name “stevedragonslayer” had shown him a video containing child pornography.

A detective with the Moon Township, Pa., police tracked down Perrine through his Internet provider.
