Lawrence Police want to talk with a group of people who were inside a local sandwich shop around the time it was robbed on Monday evening.

Quizno’s submarine sandwich shop, 2540 Iowa, was robbed around 8:30 p.m. Monday by a man who demanded money and gestured with his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun. Police say they’re trying to get in touch with at least four people who were inside the store between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.

“They may have observed something,” LPD spokeswoman Kim Murphree said. “We’d like to talk to them because they may have seen something that will help us identify the suspect or suspects.”
