KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? A man wanted on murder charges apparently shot himself to death Thursday during a standoff with police.
Police, members of the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Felony Apprehension Unit tried to arrest the man about 10 a.m. after receiving a tip that he was seen at a relative’s home, said police Capt. James Brown.
Law enforcement tried to negotiate a peaceful end to the standoff with the 33-year-old man, whom police didn’t identify. But he was dead when police entered the house about 4:20 p.m.
