Wreck sends Baldwin resident to hospital
Vinland ? A Baldwin man was flown to an area hospital Friday morning after a one-vehicle wreck near Vinland.
Michael Bridges, 22, was driving east on North 700 Road near East 1650 Road about 3:42 a.m. when his Jeep Wrangler left the road, hit a culvert and came to rest on the passenger side, said Lt. Kari Wempe, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
Bridges was flown to University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., but a condition report wasn’t available Friday. Deputies are investigating whether alcohol was a factor.
