LIBERAL — A Liberal man was charged with stabbing a 19-year-old to death during an argument.
Edward Espinoza-Nunez, 18, made his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of Bobby Joe Vega, also of Liberal. Bail was set at $250,000.
Vega was pronounced dead early Monday after a resident of a nearby home called 911.
Liberal police Capt. Al Sill said Monday that the men had argued before the stabbing.
