LEAWOOD ? Atty. Gen. Carla Stovall plans a public hearing on the proposed sale of Health Midwest Inc. to Columbia HCA. The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Leawood City Hall, 4800 Town Center.

Health Midwest owns Overland Park Regional Medical Center and Menorah Medical Center in the Kansas City area. It also operates Allen County Hospital.

Representatives from Health Midwest and HCA will discuss the proposal. The public will also be able to share comments at the meeting.
