Journal-World Athletes of the Week: Noah Simpson and Braydee Miller
It is officially the second full month of the fall sports season and another week of sports is almost over. With that comes another edition of the Athletes of the Week from the local area teams. Here are this week’s selections:
Noah Simpson, Free State High School
Noah Simpson had 16 carries for 113 yards and three touchdowns in Free State’s 42-14 win over Olathe Northwest. It was the team’s first win since the season opener as the Firebirds moved to 2-2 on the year.

Braydee Miller, Eudora High School
Despite being a freshman, Braydee Miller is Eudora volleyball’s best outside hitter and is one of the best in 4A at kills per set and hitting percentage. The Eudora Cardinals defeated Ottawa High School 3-0 with Miller leading the team with 10 kills.
