Letter to the editor: Don’t fear Fox, Newsmax nor Facebook
To the editor:
I would like to comment on the editorial column written by Robert Reich, “The 10 most important ways to resist.” He sounds like he has “lost it” sharing extreme ideas to oppose the Republicans and the current administration.
I just want to address just one of his suggestions. He says. “Urge friends, relatives, and acquaintances to avoid Trump propaganda outlets such as Fox News, Newsmax, and increasingly, Facebook and Instagram”.
What terrible advice! What is he afraid of? Anyone who loves America would want everyone to be fully informed. I am a conservative Republican and I consider being informed to be one of my civic duties. I want all voters to be fully informed no matter if they are left or right.
As for myself I do watch Fox News and Newsmax as well as the mainstream media. This newspaper that I read every day is on the left. It is almost impossible to find a newspaper that does not lean to the left. So, we on the right are exposed to the view of the left if we want to read a local newspaper. I don’t always agree with Fox News or Newsmax and at times I agree with the left leaning mainstream media.
The point I am trying to make is, if either party does not want you to be fully informed, they are not to be trusted.
