A man was arrested after reportedly making threats to employees at Lawrence City Hall on Friday, police said on social media.
The Lawrence Police Department posted that just after 1 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the report of a man making threats at City Hall. The post said that when officers arrived, the suspect had already left, but they were able to find him in the 700 block of Massachusetts Street. The man was arrested on suspicion of “three counts of Assault and Interference,” the post said.
The post said the man was upset about an interaction he’d had with police the day before the arrest, when he made incoherent statements to officers. Medics responded in that interaction, the post said, but the man refused their assistance.
