Lawrence police vehicles block off the area near Sixth Street and Kansas Highway 10 on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, after an injury accident occurred.

Lawrence police provided little new information Tuesday on an accident that injured three people the previous evening at Kansas Highway 10 and West Sixth Street.

First responders were dispatched to the three-vehicle crash around 6:10 p.m. Monday, the Journal-World reported. One person was taken by air ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries, police said, and two others were taken by ambulance to area hospitals.

Sgt. Amy Rhoads, public affairs officer for LPD, said the accident report was not yet complete as of 11:20 a.m. Tuesday. However, she said the injuries of the patient who was taken by air ambulance appear not to be life-threatening. She said the investigation into the accident was ongoing and the report would likely not be done Tuesday.

Rhoads said Monday that she did not have any information about how the accident occurred.
