The sun comes out and illuminates the graduates at the Free State High School commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Free State High School's stadium.

Graduating Free State High School seniors celebrated the completion of their high school diplomas during a ceremony on Thursday.

The Free State senior class included 448 graduates. Speakers included Superintendent Anthony Lewis, School Board President Erica Hill, and Principal Myron Graber. Student speakers were Maxine Finch and Chaney Finkeldei. The ceremony was held at the Free State Stadium, 4700 Overland Drive.

The graduation ceremony for Lawrence High School will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both ceremonies were rescheduled from their original dates because of rain earlier this week.
