Navy Lt. Nick Green and Al Stuber, a Navy veteran, flew over the Lawrence Municipal Airport in April of 2014 in honor of Green returning home after spending nine months on the U.S.S. Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Lawrence pilot Al Stuber will honor all high school and college graduates will a flyover on Sunday at noon.

Stuber will take off from the Lawrence Municipal Airport and fly south over Massachusetts Street, turn west to go over the University of Kansas’ Memorial Stadium and then go south over Lawrence High School. He will then turn west over 23rd Street, north over Iowa and west over 6th Street to Free State High School.

Stuber started piloting in 1966 and has since been cruising his planes over Lawrence parades, KU football games, Royals games and more — sometimes with colored smoke.
