City Hall Riverfront closed today because of power outage

Because of a power outage affecting City Hall Riverfront, the building will be closed to the public for the remainder of Monday, according to a news release from the City of Lawrence.

Planning and Development Services and Municipal Court are located in the City Hall Riverfront building.

If you need to reach someone in the Planning and Development Services department, staff will be available via phone and email, but there may be some delays to services, the release said. You can reach the Planner of the Day at 785-832-7700 or planning@lawrenceks.org.

Municipal Court will not be doing fingerprints. Any defendants who have court scheduled for Monday will need to call the Municipal Court office for a continuance: 785-832-6190.

The power outage does not affect the City Hall building at 6 E. Sixth St., which remains open to the public. Most city services are unaffected and will run as normal today, including solid waste collection, Lawrence Transit and Parks and Recreation, the release said.
