Downtown to deliver postal convention

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor hail, nor the gloom of night should keep at least one group of shoppers away from downtown Lawrence this weekend.
That’s because the Kansas Postal Workers State Convention will be there.
The Lawrence Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Tuesday the event will take place from May 1-2 at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott.
The convention is expected to attract about 100 attendees, the bureau said.
