Lawrence nurse to become full-time missionary
God bless you Karin for being willing to go and be a light and lend a hand in a very dark part of the world! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

Bodybuilder Tina Hawkins lifts weights to strengthen back muscles during training Friday, July 13, 2
Clarification, a photo chosen by Tina that reflects the work she has done. She is competent in posing with muscular shots and one showing a 'show pose' would given justice to her efforts. I don't think the photo used reflects a bodybuilding pose, nor does this lift show her chiseled physique.

Body of work: Local bodybuilder eyes pro career
Tina has worked very hard to reach her goals and what makes stories interesting about bodybuilders and artists etc. is what the finished product looks like. A photo would have made this a much better story...

Candidates talk about jobs, health care, schools and tax cuts
So the Democrat candidates regurgitate the failed Obumble campaign theme? How original and so apropos to our local political needs. None of these people will defeat Lynn Jenkins, but let them waste their time and energy lobbing the same old tired class warfare barbs at the GOP. Money gets behind good ideas, since the Democrats have not good ideas they want money taken out of the equation...typical. They would hope to muffle sound thinking in hopes of fooling the electorate like they did when 'Dear Leader' was elected president.

Former Gov. Bill Graves returning to Kansas to support moderate Republicans
Why are liberals so non-sensical, exaggerators or worse? Show me one Tea Party Event where the topic was war for profit? They support the Constitution and Freedom from over-reaching, over-spending government like your Dear Leader purports.

You're talking in circles. No one calls themselves teabaggers unless people in your circle do. None of the conservatives nor Tea Party Members call themselves the derogatory name you and your ilk have tried to be cute about when denigrating Patriotic hard working Americans. If you liberals want to be gross, continue, but don't try to apply your activities to conservatives.

10th Circuit Court of Appeals upholds state's approved route of South Lawrence Trafficway through the Baker Wetlands
Dear chowgirl animals are smarter than you give them credit,m so it seems you don't know anything about nature. When the activity starts they will move as they always have. I will not change my name and it is not a business, and certainly none of your business.

Jayhock 1958 your ignorance is showing again. The KKK was started by Democrats not Republicans. A higher % of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act than Democrats. Also your liberal leader Robert Byrd was a leader in the KKK, and never was a Republican in the Senate a KKK member. Better get your facts straight before embarrassing yourself further. The Tea Party = Early American Patriots

It always puzzled me as to why Pro-Gay Special Rights people like KSLIB call conservatives a name depicting an act that only the Pro-Gay Special Rights groups actually do...
