Never give your money to a politician or lobbying group. Ever. If you want to give money to something that will help someone, give it to a favorite charity (preferably one with low overhead costs). You know those stupid political commercials that sound like they were written for five-year-olds on TV or the copious, annoying flyers you get in the mail daily? That is what your money goes for. I dislike liberals almost as much as you hate conservatives, but there is no way I am giving money to any politician. Frickin a-holes are lucky they have my vote.

LAB AND BAB---BOTH GOOD POSTS---MY QUESTION IS"WHAT CAN WE AS VOTERS DO"? I REALLY HAVE NO CLUE RIGHT NOW HOW TO VOTE AT ANY LEVEL.

I thinki the best way is to vote for the new person regardless of party. they are all in bed with the lobbyists and this MUST stop. We do not need the same congress to do the same things. Let them know that to cooperate and to compromise is in the best interest of the country. Although the lobbyists hate that, it is best for everyone else. Vote no to incumbents.

I as well watched it for the first few minutes and then switched over to 'Storage Wars'. It was more informative.

Couldn't agree more with some of these posts. I'm a conservative, and disagree with a lot of liberal thinking, but I have never believed that many politicians have any interest in "issues" outside of their next reelection campaign.
I'll always respect vocal liberals because they are not indifferent. They are concerned about our country as much as I am. I'll take someone who cares about where this country is going but has a different idea than mine of how to get there, over a politician who is just looking to line their pockets and play at power games.
