Can't buy anything at the sidewalk sale...... saving my money to pay taxes
Alexander Neighbors 2 years, 10 months ago
hahahahahaha haahahaha so true.....
TopJayhawk 2 years, 10 months ago
I don't need a sidewalk. I don't care how cheap they are on sale.
Did_I_say_that 2 years, 10 months ago
If you bought one you would just have to shovel it in the winter.
countrygirl 2 years, 10 months ago
You'd have to pay me to go.
kernal 2 years, 10 months ago
Maybe for $1,000 I would go.
cait48 2 years, 10 months ago
Can't spend money ya don't have.
ivalueamerica 2 years, 10 months ago
Bush spent it for me, and I never expected Obama to fix his mess in 2 years, i expect it to take six years to recover from the most failed president in American history.
mr_right_wing 2 years, 10 months ago
You are right comrade! It took The Great Vladimir Lenin some time to get things set up as well. Patience my brother, patience.
ivalueamerica 2 years, 10 months ago
spin whatever you want. Bush is the most failed president in history and is to blame for our current economic crisis.
It is a simple fact.
mr_right_wing 2 years, 10 months ago
EXACTLY!!
Bush was America's Mikhail Gorbachev, he derailed the whole communist party and completely ruined a perfect way of life!!
You are correct my Marxist brother....sickle and hammer forever!!
ivalueamerica 2 years, 10 months ago
you are the one who has openly opposed the Constitution I love and cherish so much. That would, by definition, make you a traitor to America.

Since I found out my hours are being cut yesterday, nothing, have to pay taxes, the water bill increase, not to mention homeowners insurance went up 20 percent. Besides the best deals start after the sale when they lower the prices on the stuff they didn't sell.
jonas_opines 2 years, 10 months ago
Heehee. Proof positive that this forum is filled up by grouchy shut-ins that don't like to go outside.
Dammit, gotta go. The kids are on my lawn again!
LadyJ 2 years, 10 months ago
Maybe if we had the money to go we wouldn't be grouchy shut-ins, no kids today, they must be downtown. :) But hey, someone has to stay home and read the tweets being posted on the site, right? ♣→
jonas_opines 2 years, 10 months ago
Some of us might not be (I know that I wouldn't be), but I think that a lot would.
cait48 2 years, 10 months ago
I don't have the energy or the money to go. Fighting that crowd downtown would put me into such excruciating pain I would be eating Lortab for the next three days. And for what? Clothing I can't fit into, music I wouldn't listen to, jewelry I wouldn't wear. Nah. Not worth it.
dogsandcats 2 years, 10 months ago
I'd brave the heat and crowds if there was something I had in mind to shop for. I just don't have the disposable income to go and buy stuff I may only sort of maybe want or need just because it's on sale.
kernal 2 years, 10 months ago
I already have enough "stuff" for a garage sale. Would have to rent a storage unit if I added more "stuff". No thanks!
consumer1 2 years, 10 months ago
I got a bagel and then scurried back to my cool dark hole. Coffee, bagel, coffee bagel, hmmmmmm....
consumer1 2 years, 10 months ago
I drove through there this am on my way to work. Massive amount of short shorts on very attractive keisters. The only real reason to go there. Just have coffee and sit in a window.
beawolf 2 years, 10 months ago
Have to agree. I might stop for a cup of Joe this afternoon and people watch. Nice to see "Daisy Dukes" are back in style.
chestylion 2 years, 10 months ago
I love going to the sidewalk sale. I see people that I have not seen for ages.
Liberty275 2 years, 10 months ago
Zero. We need to save our money so we have $2000 to buy our home theatre system from a big-box store next week.
dogsandcats 2 years, 10 months ago
Also a stroller is a great way to plow through the crowd.
jonas_opines 2 years, 10 months ago
Put one of those cow-catchers on the front like they do with trains!
merrill 2 years, 10 months ago
My wife and I had been scoping out some shoes at Brown's Shoe Fit. So by chance I inquired about in store mark downs. 20% off on everything today only.
That's a fair deal. Yep our toes are smiling.
Downtown is certainly busy.
jackbinkelman 2 years, 10 months ago
Nothing. Journal World comment posters would have to leave Moms basement first... jus kid.
mr_right_wing 2 years, 10 months ago
Insanely expensive indian tacos! Yum! (Now I just can't afford to eat the rest of the week!!)
Gootsie 2 years, 10 months ago
Jackbinkelman sorry to hear you are still having to live in your mother's basement. Good call to not go to the sale.
How do they keep from having things stolen from their "booths?" It is chaos!!!
sunshine_noise 2 years, 10 months ago
The 2 times I went to this - not once did I find a bargain. Not worth the effort. Looked like everything was picked over. When you have to work there is no use to going to it afterward, especially when your too tired to walk up and down that street.
leviabowles 2 years, 10 months ago
Picked up a cool pair of shoes this evening. Love the sidewalk sale!
TopJayhawk 2 years, 10 months ago
Cait48 A nurse eating Lortab? Hmmmm. I'll keep that in mind next time you go off on some Liberal rant.
I'll tell myself: Just ignore it, the poor girl is dorked out on hydrocodone.
