A 24-year-old Eudora man has pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated battery stemming from an April incident in which the man’s 4-year-old daughter suffered a broken arm.
Max A. Alcanter pleaded guilty Tuesday in Douglas County District Court, and he’s scheduled for sentencing Oct. 30.
Aggravated battery is a level-seven person felony. Alcanter’s attorney, at a previous hearing, said that Alcanter has no criminal history. Based on sentencing guidelines, Alcanter will most likely be sentenced to probation.

Is there a restraining order? This story is sooooo incomplete. Which judge made this ruling? We do get to vote on retention of judges!

Restraining order for WHAT? You appear to be another "know it all" that "knows nothing"!! Maybe you should try minding your own business.

Smitty, It was in Judge Huff's courtroom. She didn't really make a ruling on this, other than accepting the guilty plea.
Here's a link to the previous story, has more info. http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2012/apr...

"A 24-year-old Eudora man has pleaded guilty"*Nice writing!! Shouldn't that be "pled guilty"?

Superswagg56, No, it should not be "pled guilty." Pleaded guilty is correct, per Associated Press style guidelines.
