September 15, 2012

Kansas University will host a naturalization ceremony for about 100 prospective U.S. citizens at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dole Institute of Politics, 2350 Petefish Drive.

The ceremony is an annual event coinciding with Constitution Day.

U.S. Judge John W. Lungstrum will preside over the ceremony and KU Provost Jeffrey Vitter, KU business school dean Neeli Bendapudi and others will be on hand to greet the new citizens.

sometimes I have the priviledge to be at the Courthouse in KCK when a ceremony is scheduled. It is a delight to see all the smiling faces. It always reminds me of who we are whether we have been here 300 years or have just took the oath. We are all Americans.
