A 57-year-old Lawrence man was charged Monday with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following a Friday night incident at the man’s home.

Christopher J. Gorman was arrested Friday night after a man flagged down a patrol car about 11:40 p.m. and told officers Gorman had threatened him with a gun during a dispute.

When officers knocked on Gorman’s door in the 1300 block of Kentucky Street, he answered it with a .357 magnum revolver in his hand. Police arrested him and found a second pistol on the premises, before taking him to jail, according to police.

On Monday, Gorman was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $15,000.
