A 31-year-old Topeka woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 40 this morning, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Heidi Burton was eastbound when her vehicle crossed the center line and hit a culvert on the north side of the road and overturned. She was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Steve Lewis said. The accident occurred around 5 a.m.
