A 19-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of kidnapping, domestic battery and criminal damage, according to the Douglas County Jail booking log.

Lawrence Police Sgt. Trent McKinley said the charge stems from a domestic dispute that occurred during the day Tuesday at various locations. The suspect allegedly damaged property and restricted the victim from leaving the victim’s home. The victim also sustained nonlife-threatening injuries during the incident.

Bond has not yet been set.

The Journal-World does not typically name suspects until they are formally charged.
