A minor injury accident occurred about 7:25 p.m. after an eastbound Chevrolet Astro Van collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck near the intersection of 15th Street and Kasold Drive.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Craig Shanks, the driver of the Astro Van fled on foot before police arrested him at a strip mall at 1410 Kasold Drive, on charges of fleeing the scene, as well as for alcohol-related offenses.

Shanks said Lawrence police think both speed and alcohol played a factor in the accident.

The driver of the pickup truck reported neck pain from the collision.
