Lawrence High’s wrestling team will enter the 2012-13 season as the No. 4 program in Class 6A, according to the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association’s preseason rankings.

The Lions, who finished third at the 2012 state meet, have six wrestlers ranked in their respective weight classes.

LHS senior Hunter Haralson, who won a state title at 126 pounds as a junior, enters the season as No. 1 in the 132-pound class. Senior Andrew Denning (160) and junior Garrett Girard (126) are ranked No. 3, senior Caden Lynch (138) is No. 5, and both sophomore Tristan Star (113) and freshman Alan Clothier (170) are No. 6.

Ranked ahead of Lawrence in the preseason team rankings are No. 1 Garden City, No. 2 Derby and No. 3 Junction City.
