Douglas County prosecutors have charged an Ottawa man with an aggravated assault charge related to a March 8 road rage incident near Baldwin City.

According to court records, prosecutors accuse Anthony R. Hurtado of displaying a pistol during the incident the afternoon of March 8 near East 1600 and North 400 roads. Sheriff’s officials the day of the incident said one vehicle went into a ditch in the area, and then that driver approached the driver of a second vehicle in the area, now identified as Hurtado, who allegedly displayed a gun. No one was arrested that day. Hurtado is scheduled to appear in court June 14.
