A burglary of the King Buffet restaurant, 1601 W. 23rd St., Suite 104, occurred between 8 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday as suspects broke a glass door and the dead-bolt lock on a wooden door to steal $500 from the cash register and an additional $400. In addition the burglary resulted in $850 in damage to the restaurant, according to a Lawrence police report. Two additional burglaries were reported overnight at Jin Shan Buffet, 1800 E. 23rd St., in which $218 was taken and the glass front door sustained $400 in damage, and at Raco Car Wash No. 4, 1300 W. Sixth St., in which $500 in quarters were taken and two doors sustained $600 damage.
