KU prof taking dean job at American U.

Barbara Romzek, a professor of public affairs at Kansas University who also served in several administrative roles at KU, has been named as dean of American University’s School of Public Affairs, according the school’s website.

Romzek, who has been on the KU faculty since 1979, has served as the interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, an interim senior vice provost for academic affairs and as chairwoman of the department of public administration at KU.

The School of Public Affairs at American University, in Washington, D.C., has 90 full-time faculty members and more than 1,800 students.
