We won't need either, we have momentum and nothing to loose. osu has a stacked deck & the world expecting them to win. We can hang & beat osu, the best part is we get the chance to do so twice in one year! RCJH GO KU!!!

Fishman 2 years, 9 months ago

KU played great, but I can't help but think it hurt NC big time not having Marshall. That's the breaks sometimes. Congrats to Roy Williams on another great year! There's only been two games since he left that I have rooted against him, and fortunately KU came out on top both times. Roy, you are welcome in New Orleans! You're a class act, and even as a Jayhawk fan I harbor no hard feelings. After all, "there's no place like home". You'll always be a big part of KU basketball.

Well said, Fishman. I'm a diehard Jayhawk fan and alumn, and I have no hard feelings towards Roy. We have Bill, need I say more?

Carolina lost to Florida State by 22 with Marshal in perfect health. The kid who played for him today did very well. With McDougie All Americans all over the place, there are no excuses for Roy. He flat got his butt beat today.

My theory is confirmed. Roy's tension (his inner conflicts and fear of being bested by his replacement HCBS) in playing against Kansas is transfered by osmosis to UNC players causing them to clutch. But agree with Fishman, congrats to Roy for a great season.

Thanks for putting my thoughts into words. Go KU!

Of course it hurt them to not have Marshall, but it hurt KU more to not have McLemore and Traylor!

Joe Hyde 2 years, 9 months ago

Hmmm...excellent point. I never thought about that, but you're absolutely right.

However, if I understand their situations correctly McLemore and Traylor have been allowed to participate in practices with the team (as members of the practice squad). So it's difficult for us outsiders to appreciate the full extent of their contributions to the starting lineup's successes. In ways that will never show, McLemore and Traylor might be as effective in those background roles this season as they would be if they were suited up and playing on the game day floor.

It's great to see that I agree with you on something! RCJH!

I don't think we shocked Roy Williams but I'm sure we shocked a lot of Vegas (not all). Bill and Roy are actually good friends.

It's now final: The chemistry of this team is better without the Morris twins.

Self learned something today. He put teahan out there and as ususal he contributed nothing so he put him where he belonged on the bench and played the best athlethes.

windjammer 2 years, 9 months ago

What makes you think Coach Self learned something today? Did he call you or text you? You don't speak for Coach Self so get off your know it all arm chair.

I bet the only game you have is pressing the buttons on the remote. Stop slamming KU players! They're all great! We wouldn't have made the final four otherwise.

Joe Hyde 2 years, 9 months ago

I won't be surprised if Teahan gets into one of those hot streaks where he hits a string of 3-pointers that cause such a distraction to the opponent that his mere presence is key to taking us to the championship game, if not bringing home the championship trophy. It might happen, or it might not, but that guy can score. And play defense. And rebound.

Two great coaches and their great teams squared off today. I just hope that KU can maintain that high and get through the next two. Congrats, guys. Whatta game!!

Its all about the dribble drive and EJ finally drove. Now some how Releford needs to quit playing as if hes watching the SCI-FI channel and use that 6-6 athletic body and drive with some urgency. Pull up mid-range (7-12) jumpers wins the whole tournament not those stupid floaters or forced drives all the way when it aint there.

The fastest group of guards in the country. Drive, Draw and Dish Ooooo a great slam by T-Rob or Withey. The Jayhawks are the 2012 NCAA National Champions.

it was pretty darn good basketball, this team and coach got this win the old fashioned way, they earned it

sniff, sniff. some people need to stop listening to biased tv announcers and actually watch the game. you obviously missed a few phantom fouls called on KU, but they were able to play through it. amazed at how after a great game like today's that some people still love to use the 'blame the referees' excuse. KU finally played a good game and got the win they fought for to the end.

JayhawkFan1985 2 years, 9 months ago

Bad calls are a part of the game and life. Over time they tend to even out. KU has had plenty go against them too. At the end of the day, it comes down to a w or a l on the official records. Whining about it won't change that. Final Four bound! RCJH!

Anybody know where I can pick-up my "Property of Bill Self" Tee-shirt?
