A northern Franklin County home is a total loss after a fire Wednesday morning northeast of Ottawa, sheriff’s officials said.

Master Deputy Jerrod Fredricks, a Franklin County Sheriff’s spokesman, said the fire started at the back of the house. The family was not home at the time, and no one was injured.

It occurred in the 4000 block of Texas Road.

Fredricks said investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
