A former Lawrence high school student was reported injured after a shooting late Friday night at what witnesses say was a party in Kansas City, Mo.

The shooting occurred before midnight Friday evening on Warwick Boulevard near East 40th Street. Witnesses said people were in the home’s basement when the shooting happened.

Police have not officially released the victim’s name. No further details were available this weekend.
