Woman reports finding man in her residence early Saturday

A woman reported waking up early Saturday and finding an unidentified man inside her residence in the 1000 block of West 29th Terrace, said Kim Murphree, a Lawrence police spokeswoman.

Murphree said the woman woke up at 3:50 a.m. and asked the suspect who he was. He ran away from the residence. Nothing was taken.

A neighbor sitting on the patio outside heard the victim and saw the suspect flee. The suspect while running away knocked the neighbor to the ground. Murphree said the suspect was described as a man who was 6 feet tall. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored jeans. Police canvassed the area but did not locate a suspect, and officers are continuing to investigate the incident, Murphree said.
