Hornberger said Jared White was driving a 2009 Triumph motorcycle at 9:29 a.m. on East 900 Road, which is a frontage road next to Kansas Highway 10 west of Lawrence. White lost control on a curve about a quarter-mile north of North 1500 Road. White was not wearing a helmet, the undersheriff said.

It is not west of Lawrence, it is in western Lawrence. There is not much road there, very short, turn is where paved road basically ends and becomes private, gravel drive drive. (And crosses multi-use path) To the west across 10, is sector 3-a and 3-b, which are sewer ready plots developers are sitting on to build high end while asking for pump stations other places. In other word , they are paying $3 acre taxes for development ready land.
