Douglas County prosecutors Thursday filed two charges each against two Kansas City-area men accused of stealing tires from Firestone Complete Auto Care, 2425 Iowa, about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Kim Murphree, a Lawrence police spokeswoman, said an officer on patrol observed two men taking tires from a fenced storage area, and after the investigation police arrested Jason Lee Norris, 36, of Kansas City, Mo., and Andrew Erwin Stueven, 35, of Raytown, Mo. Prosecutors charged them with misdemeanor theft and criminal trespassing, and a judge set bond for each suspect at $2,500.
